Materials
Large mixing bowl
1-2 parts native wildflower seeds
2 parts soil or peat-free compost
5 parts natural garden clay soil or pottery clay
1-2 parts water
Large box to dry and store seed balls
Procedure
1. In a large bowl, mix a handful of seeds with 5 handfuls of soil and 3 handfuls of clay soil.
2. Slowly mix in water with your hands until everything sticks together. It should feel like play dough. If the mixture is too crumbly, add more water. If it is too moist, add more soil and clay.
3. Knead the mixture, then roll it into nice round balls.
